Industrial Site Improvement Fund (ISIF) Program

Program Background:

The Ohio Industrial Site Improvement Fund (ISIF) Program became effective on June 9, 2004. The primary purpose of the ISIF Program is to assist geographically and/or economically disadvantaged counties around Ohio in the expansion and modernization of buildings, remediation of environmentally contaminated property and completion of other infrastructure improvements at sites used primarily for commercial or industrial activities.

Program Administration:

The ODOD's Strategic Business Investment Division administers the program.

Program Operation:

Funds are provided via a total $4.5 million available in grants, with $750,000 maximum grant awards available per eligible county.  Grant amounts cannot exceed 75 percent of the total costs incurred under the site improvement project.

One application may be submitted per eligible county per fiscal year, with eligible counties having received funding in the last fiscal year required to wait one full year until applying for new assistance.

Deadline to apply for FY 2008 assistance is March 14, 2008.  Award announcements likely will be made in May 2008
