Press Room The Office of Communications promotes the programs and services of the Ohio Department of Development by educating the media, the general public and other state agencies to heighten awareness of Ohio's economic strength and quality of life. The office writes press releases to generate interest in the state's development efforts and works directly with statewide radio, television and newspaper outlets, educating the media on Department of Development activities, as well as responding to inquiries. The Office also writes and oversees the production of collateral pieces including annual reports, brochures and booklets. The office coordinates special events such as groundbreakings, ribbon-cuttings and grant announcements, and prepares speeches for Ohio Department of Development officials. The office is also charged with addressing the Department's graphics and audio/visual production needs.
